1Type the word on any zombie to shoot it. On a phone the keyboard opens when you start, and Phone assist (in Arcade) slows the zombies a little and forgives your first slip on each word. On a computer just type. Esc pauses.
2Three bites and you're done. Words get harder every level, and every fifth level a boss arrives with a whole sentence. In boss fights every typo costs a heart.
3Runners sprint, tanks need two words and crawlers sneak in low. Glowing zombies carry a grenade, slow-mo, a freeze or a med kit.
4Arcade is endless and uses your upgrades. The daily challenge is one try a day, the same for everyone, with a shared leaderboard.
5Categories flips it round: you get a category and 45 seconds, and every answer you type sends a zombie walking at a computer survivor who types to shoot them. Get 5 bites in to win the round.
6Spend points in the shop on guns, outfits, forests, upgrades and word packs.
7Streaks light flames down the sides at 5, 10 and 20 words in a row. Hit 25 in a row and a helicopter flies in for an airstrike.
8Reach level 5 to earn your first rank, Noob, then a new rank and badge at level 10 and every 10 levels after. Your badges are in Profile.
9Get 50 words in a row and a helicopter flies in and blows up every zombie on screen. Every 50 more calls it again.
